Roy Edwin Seger, 84, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, September 24, 2002, in the Minton Memorial Chapel, Borger, Texas.  Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.   The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Friday, September 23, 2002, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift to Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Roy was born July 16, 1938, in Arkansas City, Kansas to Frank Roy Seger and Thelma Irene Ellis Seger.  He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.  Roy married Judy Ames on January 17, 1969, in Borger.  He worked for over 30 years for Service Drilling as a machinist/mechanic.  Roy really was a jack of all trades; he had also been a welder and did some blacksmithing.  He enjoyed working, fishing, camping, hunting, and traveling.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Thelma Seger; wife, Judy; son, Randy Seger; granddaughter, Jessica Strickland; and son-in-law, Ronnie Meyers.

Survivors include his sons, Michael Strickland and wife LeeAnn of Fritch, Billy Strickland of Bentonville, Arkansas, Russell Strickland of Bentonville, Arkansas; daughters, Donna Myers of Bentonville, Arkansas, Patricia Baker and husband Truman of Cave Springs, Arkansas, Renee Seger-McCormick and husband Tony of Stinnett; eleven grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sisters, Nora Haudenshild of Medford, Oregon, Grace McDade and husband Walter of Spearman; five nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.
