Leslie Held

Leslie Deidric Held, 86, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022.

Private family services will be held.  Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.  In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Carson Lodge, PO Box 1167, Panhandle, TX 79068

Leslie was born March 2, 1935 in Panhandle to Victor Held and Hester Shepherd Held.  He proudly served in the United States Army.  He married Donna Grisham on June 1, 1959 in Panhandle.  Leslie was a member of the River Church and Carson Lodge #1167 and was a Master Mason.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, going to Colorado and flying his airplane.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Hester Held; brother, Derroll Held; and son-in-law, Ralph Shemwell.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Donna Held of Panhandle; daughter, MeLinda Shemwell of Panhandle; son, Steve Held and Kathy of Marquee, Texas; grandchildren, Ryan Shemwell and wife Shelby of Fort Stewart, Georgia, Hanna Williams and husband Westin of Panhandle; and brother, Mike Held and wife Stephanie of Amarillo.
