Leola Buschman

Leola Pearl Buschman of Stinnett, 93, died peacefully on Saturday, August 28, 2022 in Borger, TX surrounded by family.  Services will be held Wednesday, August 31 at 10:00 am at Riverview Baptist Church with Alton Cheatwood II presiding.  Burial will follow at the Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive visitors at Minton Chatwell Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 30 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

Leola was born on Janurary 29, 1929 to George Hintergardt and Mabel Long Hintergardt in Beaver County, OK.  She married Benny Buschman on November 2, 1950 in Madeira, CA. Together, Leola and Benny owned and operated the Falcon Restaurant in Stinnett for many years.  They were also members of the Apostolic Faith Church in Spearman and served as cooks at the Apostolic Faith Bible College in Baxter Springs, KS.

Leola loved the Lord with all her heart and was a faithful prayer warrior on behalf of her family and friends.  She was a great cook and was well known for her pies and biscuits & gravy.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, puzzles, traveling and keeping up with her kids and grandchildren.

Leola was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother Lowell Hintergardt, her sister Nina Trayler, her son-in-law Jamie Cheatwood, and great-grandson Grant Carroll.

She is survived by her daughter Paula Cheatwood of Stinnett, two sons, Alvin Buschman and wife Glenda of Seneca, MO and David Buschman and wife Lisa of Hempstead, TX, ten grandchildren and their spouses Paul Buschman II and Debra, Keith Buschman and Abby, Barbie Green and Brandon, April Carroll and Frank, Alton Cheatwood II and Amy, Amanda Denley and Blake, Michelle Vargas and Dustin, John Stafford and Darian, Erin Constable and Daniel, & Jessica Kessler and Jacob, and 16 great-grandchildren RyLee, AJ, Bryant, Nolan, Jamie, Jacob, Kaitlynn, Lincoln, Bradley, Alexa, Ben, Jackson, Bryson, Sam, Leon, Eleanor, plus 3 on the way.
