Helen LaNell McCormick, 86, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

Graveside services will be held 11 am on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

LaNell was born July 10, 1934 in Borger to Luchon Bryant Monden and Bessie Faye Huffines Monden.  She married James Everett McCormick on March 13, 1954 in Stinnett.  LaNell enjoyed camping, long walks around town, working in the yard, her little dog Pede, and sitting with a Dr. Pepper and a candy bar in hand.  However, nothing brought more joy to her life than being around her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Luchon Bryant and Bessie Faye (Huffines) Monden; husband, James Everett McCormick; and brothers, Gene Monden, Luchon Bryan Monden, JA Monden, and Bobby Monden.

Survivors include her sons, Danny Gene McCormick and wife Connie, Jerry Glenn McCormick and wife Pam; daughter, Cindy Jonell King and husband Robert; 10 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; brother, Richard Monden; sisters, Connie McDaniel, Peggy Press, Linda Davis; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
