Billy Hardy

December 21, 1944 — January 1, 2022

Fritch

Billy Ray Hardy, 77, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022 in Fritch, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 6, 2021 at Fritch Church of Christ with Mr. Richard Kasko officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Bill was born on December 21,1944 in Tulia, Texas to WT Hardy Jr. and Emma Lou Hickman-Hardy. He was their only child. On June 1, 1968 he married Barbara Merle Austin-Hardy.

Bill was a Christian man who loved Jesus.  His faith never failed. He enjoyed hosting a cookout for his family where we would spend time visiting and there was always a heated ping pong match where he “always” won.  After he retired is when he actually began to “work”.  Bill was the “best” worst car salesman in the Texas Panhandle.  He wanted to help everyone who walked thru the door. His grandkids were his loves. He always had donuts for them on Saturday mornings.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara and his parents.

Survivors include his two sons, Heath Hardy and wife Kelly, Drew Hardy and wife Brittany; five grandchildren, Taylor Mackey and husband Kennen, Bailey Cathey and husband Jordan, Ty Hardy, Raegan, Sage, and Cole Hardy; and three great grandchildren, Kalon and Kase Mackey and Breckyn Cathey.
