Sylvia Leola Witt, 78, passed away Friday, April 10, 2026.

Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Highland Park Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be held at 3 pm on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Jackelope’s Place, 201 Deahl, Borger, Texas, 79007. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. In lieu of flowers, her memory may be honored with a gift to the Phillips Golf Course, PO Box 385, Borger, Texas, 79008.

Baby Girl Moore was born May 3, 1947, in Pampa to Joe Walter Moore and Melba Christine Smart Moore. If you were lucky enough to be loved by Sylvia, then you have been fed by Sylvia. Her love language was serving others, and she did that by making sure no-one was hungry around her. She often shared her love by cooking funeral meals for the community. Sylvia enjoyed sewing, canning and you guessed it…..cooking.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Chris Moore; her partner in crime, Jerry Stanford; two great grandbabies; son-in-law, Eric Henderson; brother, Raymond Moore; sister, April Thompson; and her beloved canine companion, Hooters.

Survivors include her daughter, Dannett Henderson of Borger; sons, Darick Witt and wife Melissa of Borger, Casey Witt and wife Joey of Fritch; grandchildren; David Henderson and wife Katie, Samanta Whelchel and husband Derek, Drew McGee, Shea Guinn and husband Tyler, Devan Witt, Ashley Shine and husband Will, Camren Witt and wife Alyssa, Jacob Witt and wife Molly; ten great grandchildren; brother, Charles Moore of Denver; sister-in-law, Sherry Moore of Borger; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
