Steven Lee Short

Steven Lee Short, 15, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at home in the arms of his loving father.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at The River Church in Panhandle. Graveside services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Owasco Rural Cemetery in Owasco, New York. A celebration of his life will follow the graveside at Grace Chapel in “The Barn” at 12 noon in Skaneateles, New York.

Steven was born on September 16, 2010, in Newark, New York to William Steve Short and Jessica Jo DeLisio Short. He loved riding horses, dirt bikes and playing video games. Steven was a student at Panhandle High School.

Preceding him in death is his grandfather, Steven W. Short.

Surviving is his father, Bill Short of Panhandle, Texas; mother, Jessica VanCamp and husband Jeremy of Phelps, New York; brothers, Cole Short of Waterloo, New York, Wyatt Short and wife Allison of Ft Drum, New York, Issac VanCamp of Phelps, New York, Caden VanCamp of Phelps, New York; sisters, Claire Brown of Waterloo, New York, Adaline Short of Panhandle; grandparents, Laurel Short of Claude, Texas, Melinda Cripe of Westover, Texas, Brenda DeLisio of Lyons, New York; aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.
