Steven Cody Beddingfield

Steven Cody Beddingfield, 44, passed away Friday, August 14, 2026.

A memorial mass is pending at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Panhandle. Burial will follow in Panhandle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, his memory may be honored with a gift to St. Theresa Catholic Church, P.O. Box 366, Panhandle, Texas, 79068 or to the Texas Panhandle Centers Day Hab Program, 901 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, Texas, 79106.

Cody was born January 19, 1982, in Amarillo, Texas to Bruce Beddingfield and Carolyn Jean Thomas Beddingfield. He was a 2004 graduate of Panhandle High School. Cody was a snacking machine, but mac-n-cheese was his favorite. He was an avid music lover, his favorite station was Sirius XM The Blend. Cody enjoyed going boating at the lake and swimming in the pool. He loved being on the tractor and all things John Deere.

He is preceded in death by his grandma and grandpa, Angie and Howard Beddingfield; grandmother and shala, Jony and Cecil Thomas; uncle, Gary Beddingfield; and aunt, Janie Plumlee.

Survivors include his parents, Bruce and Carolyn Beddingfield of Panhandle; sister, Sara Beth Maines and husband Casey of Brownfield; nephew, Cort Maines; niece, Nora Maines; aunts, Ann Beddingfield, Vicky Jay; cousins, Tessa Mogelinski and husband Joey, Jason Caffee and wife Kassie, Reese Beddingfield, Kurt Beddingfield, Kary Shadid and husband Brady, Ellee Bonner and husband Blake, Lee Ogletree and wife Tara, Angie Jo Hermesmeyer and husband Scott, Jodi Segura and husband Rick; and a host of extended family.
