Shirlene “Turd” Haiduk

Shirlene "Turd" Haiduk, 67, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11 am Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Celebration Family Church with Pastor Dwight Kirksey officiating. Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. 

Shirlene was born September 10, 1956, in Amarillo to Red Whelchel and Shirley Freeman Whelchel. She enjoyed doing yardwork, working puzzles, and having game nights. Shirlene had a true servant’s heart, she shared that with the patients she helped take care of. She loved Jesus and never missed an opportunity to share His word. Nothing brought more joy to her life than her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Holland; father, Red Whelchel; and brother, Paul Whelchel.

Survivors include her daughters, Melissa Cordell and husband Chantry of Amarillo, Ashley Haiduk of Borger, Christina Haiduk of Borger; grandchildren, Dominic Ramos, Clayton Cordell, Tyler Brooks, Harper Hughes, Holden Hughes; brother, Danny Harless and wife Carla of Odessa; sister, Francene Bickerstaff of Panhandle; and a host of extended family and friends.
