Scott Eugene Rankin

Scott Eugene Rankin, 70, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025.

Private graveside services will be held at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Scott was born April 19, 1955, in Borger, Texas to Elbert Eugene Rankin and Rebecca Bird Troxel Rankin. He was a 1973 graduate of Phillips High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech and a bachelor’s degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University Pharmacy School. After many years of service, he retired from the pharmaceutical world. He was an avid sports watcher with the Texas Rangers being his favorite.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Becky Rankin.

Survivors include his daughter, Erica Rankin of Las Vegas; sisters, Jill Rankin Schneider of Lubbock, Debra Rankin of Dixie, Washington; nieces, Haley Schneider of Austin, Kellyn Schneider of Dallas; nephew, Ryan Schneider of Anaconda, Montana; and extended family.
