Sandra Kay Hilbert, age 75, beloved wife of fifty-five years, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed peacefully from this life on February 20, 2021. She was born on July 22, 1945, daughter to C.B. and Ann Morrison, in Borger, Texas. Sandra graduated from Borger High School and then Frank Phillips College. She started her own business, H&H Printing, Etc. which she ran for over 25 years.
She loved adventure and traveled all across the United States and to over 28 foreign countries. Closer to home she loved her community and served it well. She spent time on the Borger Chamber of Commerce Board, was an essential part of Business and Professional Women, Toastmasters International, Hutchinson County Republican Women, Rotary Club of Borger, and The Frank Phillips College Board of Regents. Sandra and her husband Harvey were voted Citizens of the year for their philanthropic efforts in 2016. After retirement, she spent time giving tours at the Hutchinson County Historical Museum, teaching CPR with the American Heart Association, serving in her church, and so much more. She valued life, loved Jesus, never met a stranger, and genuinely treasured people.
Sandra leaves behind a loving family in her husband Harvey Hilbert, son Mark and wife Michelle, daughter Christy, one sister Margy Hodges, five grandchildren Sarah, Stephanie, Scotti, Addie, and Saylor, two great-grandchildren Boaz and Marshall, two brothers-in-law Fred and Dale, and five nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, C.B. and Ann Morrison, parent in-laws Lydia and Austin Hilbert Sr., two sisters Judy Strickland and Lana Dawson, and a brother-in-law Tommy Hodges.
The family will receive guests from 5 pm until 7 pm on Wednesday, the 24th, 2021, at the Minton Memorial Chapel at 314 S. Hedgecoke, Borger, Texas.
A Celebration of her Life service will occur at First Baptist Church in Borger, Texas, at 11:00 am on Thursday the 25th, 2021. The service will be livestreamed on the FBCBorger Facebook Page and will be recorded and be able to be seen on her online obituary page.
The family asks memorials to be made to The Sandra Hilbert Memorial Scholarship Fund Borger Bank, PO Box 949, Borger, Texas, 79008 or a donation may be made at any Amarillo National Bank location.
