Ruby Esterline Browning, 85, passed away Monday, September 21, 2026.

Per her wishes no services are scheduled. Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Ruby, known to those that loved her as B, was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose family meant everything to her. She loved her sons and daughter, adored her grandchildren, and had an especially soft spot for her great-grandchildren. Nothing made her happier than being surrounded by the people she loved.

She was a woman who enjoyed the little things in life. She always liked having her nails painted, kept up with her skincare routine, and loved going for walks. She had a love for diamonds, enjoyed drawing horses, and could often be found watching an old Western.

She loved to reminisce and share stories about the past. Whether she was talking about trips to the casino or recalling memories of her mother, whom she had lovingly cared for, she had a way of bringing those moments back to life through her stories.

Some of her favorite times were spent sitting around the table with her family, enjoying a meal prepared by her son. It wasn't anything extravagant that made those moments special. It was simply being together, sharing stories, laughing, and enjoying each other's company.

She was compassionate, sweet, and always willing to offer advice. She had a way of listening, understanding, and sharing just the right words when someone needed them.

One love she never stopped talking about was Vernon Kingsburry, her boyfriend of 18 years and the love of her life. The memories they made together remained close to her heart, and she spoke of him with love and affection.

Her family will miss so many things about her: her stories, her advice, her sweet nature, and all the little things that made her who she was.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Donaciano Ortega Walters and Anna Lee Torres Walters; son, James Morgan; and brother, Donny Walters.

She leaves behind her son, Anthony Fabian Morgan and wife Alicia; grandkids, Nicole Chavez and husband Isias Jr, Jeremiah Morgan and fiancée Nicole, Elizabeth Payne, Jonathan Morgan and wife Stephanee, James Morgan; and great grandkids, Mia, Khloe, Clara, Emma, Abby, Quinn, Jonathan, Quinlee, Ariane, Niklaus, Alakai; and a host of extended family that we have lost touch with over the years.

A special note of blessings to all who took care of our Mom; BSA HOSPICE - Misty Wall and staff, United Health Care - Ashley White, Dr Hawley and staff and Caprock Nursing Center and staff all who made her comfortable and showed dignity to end of life. And her special friends. We love y’all deeply.
