Rondalyn Eliese Greer Jones, 48, of Panhandle, joined her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020.
Celebration of Life Services will be on Monday, Feb. 3, at 2 p.m. at The River in Panhandle, 600 Euclid with Pastor Matt Cordova and Pastor Mark Urquhart, officiating. Arrangements are by Minton-Chatwell of Panhandle. Family requests friends wear bright colors to celebrate Ronda.
Ronda was born on Dec. 20, 1971 to Linda and Ronnie Greer Sr. She grew up in Spring Branch, Texas, where she was an outstanding softball player and was named to the All-Star team for several years. She moved to Millican, Texas and attended Navasota High School. She was a member of the Diamond Ettes and graduated in 1990.
She married Michael Shaun Jones on Aug. 25, 1990. They welcomed their beautiful daughter, Kayla Lynn on June 5, 1991. They moved to Amarillo in September 1994. They welcomed their wonderful son, Jeremy Ryan on June 15, 1995. They moved to Panhandle in December 1998.
In the summer of 2011, they opened their home and their huge hearts to four boys, Brandon, Jayson, Nathan and Devin. She loved the outdoors, especially lake time at Lake Greenbelt with family and friends. She loved spending time with her grandsons, family and friends.
She worked for the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center as a nurse at Texas Department of Criminal Justice in Amarillo.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents; aunts and uncles; and her beautiful niece, Lizzy.
Survivors include her husband, Shaun of the home; her parents, Linda and Ronnie Greer Sr of Millican; daughter, Kayla and husband John Stribling of Panhandle; sons, Jeremy and wife Keylee of Sunray, Jayson Jones of Clarendon, Nathan and Devin Jones of the home; grandsons, CJ and Ben Stribling of Panhandle and soon-to-be Beckett Ryan Jones of Sunray; brother, Ronnie Greer Jr. and wife Traci of Millican; and sister, Kimberly Sims of Somerville, Texas; brother-in-law, Chris Jones and wife Danielle of Amarillo; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
