Randell Lavon Farmer, 79, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022.
Funeral services will be 10 am Monday, December 12, 2022, at the Cross Community Church of God, 706 Franklin Street, Borger. Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please consider making a memorial donation through the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
Randell was born February 24, 1943, in his family home, three miles outside of Mangum, Oklahoma to Jack Farmer and Dele Bell Killingsworth Farmer. He married Pauline Smith on March 25, 1963, Wellington, Texas. Randell proudly served in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed woodworking, reading western books, and watching westerns and wrestling on television. Randell was always up for a road trip or just getting in the car and driving around. Nothing brought more joy to his life than his title of Poppy, he never missed any activity his grandkids participated in, and was always up for game of dominos with the grands.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Dele Bell Farmer; brothers, Lawson Farmer, Edward Farmer, Jackie Farmer, G.W. “Dub” Farmer; sisters, Irene Sanders, Joyce Leamon, Katherine Oden, and Margie Holman.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline of Borger; sons, Kevin Farmer and wife Mendy of Borger, Kelvin Farmer and wife Amber of Fritch; daughter, Rhonda Farmer of Borger; grandkids, Chris Love, Kaden Farmer, Hailey Farmer, Landry Farmer, Keagan Farmer, Easton Farmer, Adilynn Farmer; sisters, Gladys Moore of Wichita Falls, Martha Burke of Oklahoma City; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
