Randall Cline Watson

Randall “Randy” Cline Watson, 74, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025.

Graveside services will be held at 9 am on Saturday, May 17, 2025, in Westlawn Memorial Park. There will be a celebration of his life at 10 am in the Chapel of First Baptist Church of Borger under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Randy was born July 29, 1950, in Canyon to Samuel Marlin Watson and Helen Frances Taylor Watson. He married Carolyn Lanier on August 6, 1971, in Borger. Randy proudly served in the United States Army. He retired from Phillips as an operations engineer. Randy was an avid gun enthusiast, and he also enjoyed hunting. Nothing brought more joy to his life than being called Papa, he loved attending his grandkids’ sporting events.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Helen Watson.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn of Borger; son, Shane Watson and wife Jennifer of Amarillo; daughters, Kristi Cantu and husband Roman of Weatherford, Misti McClendon of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Raegan Cantu, Olivia Cantu, Logan Watson and wife Kaylee, Samuel Watson, Isaac McClendon, Ivy McClendon; two great grandchildren, Easton and Declan; sister, Lee Guest and husband Raymond of Amarillo; and a host of extended family.
