Phyllis Riggan

Phyllis Rhoena Riggan, 91, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016.

Funeral service will be held 10:30 am Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Terry Porter officiating. Burial will be held at 2:30 pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 in Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon, Oklahoma under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. In lieu of flowers, her memory may be honored with a gift to First Church of the Nazarene, 501 Kaye Street, Borger, Texas 79007.

Phyllis was born February 28, 1925 in Guymon to Inez and Earl Smith. She married Virgil Riggan on October 22, 1945 in Wichita, Kansas. Phyllis was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting and reading. However, nothing brought more joy to her life than being with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Virgil; sisters, Helen and Earlene; and brother, Kenneth.

Survivors include her sons, Roger Riggan and wife Ann of Oklahoma City, Rodney Riggan and wife Wendy of Lubbock; daughters, Helen Riggan of Fritch and Darlene Johnston of Fritch; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a brother, Quentin Smith and wife Marvella of Oklahoma.
