Peggy Louise Roselius, 88, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
Graveside services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, August 1, 2026, in Panhandle Cemetery. The family will receive guests from 5-7 pm on Friday at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to BSA Hospice of the Southwest, 5211 SW 9th Avenue, Amarillo, Texas, 79106.
Peggy was born September 30, 1937, in Hale County, Texas to Isaac “Ike” William Hanson and Opal Oneta Pinkerton Hanson. She married Dale Joe Roselius on June 14, 1957, in Panhandle. Peggy was a 1956 graduate of Panhandle High School and received her bachelor’s degree from West Texas A&M University in Canyon. She continued higher learning at Northwest Oklahoma State University in Alva, Oklahoma where she received her master’s degree. Peggy taught second grade for many years for Panhandle Independent School District. She enjoyed doing yard work and tending to her garden. Peggy had an eye for decorating and liked to fix up her home.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ike and Oneta Hanson; husband, Dale Roselius; son, Danny Roselius; brother, Tommy Hanson; and sister, Billie Jean Sullivan.
Survivors include her daughter, Cindy McAden and husband Mark of Frisco; daughter-in-law, Marva Roselius; grandchildren, Ashley Dawn Kops and husband Jesse, Derek McAden, Dylan McAden and wife Amy; great grandchildren, Kadence Kops, Daniel Kops; brother-in-law, Jay Bob Roselius and wife Reva of Amarillo; sister-in-law, Cindy Hanson of Amarillo; and a host of extended family.
