Peggy Lyin Phillips

Peggy Lyin Phillips, 72, of Harker Heights, Texas, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2026.

Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, August 22, 2026, in Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Flowers can be sent to Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors at 314 Hedgecoke St., Borger, Texas, 79007 or a donation can be made in memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.

Lyin was born on August 13, 1954, in Malvern, Arkansas to Vernon Gene Robinson and Roberta June Keith Robinson. She married Charles T. "Charlie" Phillips on May 28, 1994, in Stinnett. Lyin was a very crafty person who enjoyed painting, woodworking, sewing, baking, and working outdoors. She had a strong Christian faith and spent many years actively involved with the First Assembly of God Church in Stinnett. She did not let physical ailments keep her from church later in life, becoming a member of The Point Fellowship in Temple and attending regularly via online services.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Gene Robinson and Roberta Passmore; husband, Charlie Phillips; and brother, Vernon "Buddy" Robinson.

Surviving Lyin in life are her daughter, Michelle and husband Pedro Hernandez of Harker Heights; daughter, Rebecca and husband Thomas Schwertner of Jarrel; daughter, Jennifer and husband Will Johnson of Miami; and son, Stacey Blake of Fort Worth;19 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
