Patsy Sue Pundt

Patsy Sue McKinnon Pundt, 89, passed away Monday, August 10, 2026.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Monday, August 17, 2026, in the Minton Memorial Chapel. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. In lieu of flowers, her memory may be honored with a gift to Gideon International Camp #U4265 - P O Box 5800 - Borger 79008 or ACTS Community Center, 816 S Van Buren, Amarillo, TX 79101.

Patsy was born November 20, 1936, in Jacksonville, Texas to Thomas Jester McKinnon and Sula Bell Bauman McKinnon. Patsy graduated from White Oak High School in 1955, then went on to Lon Morris Junior College and to the University of Texas in Austin, receiving three bachelor’s degrees and one teaching certificate. She met Don Pundt in 1957 at a Methodist Youth Mixer, and proceeded to then marry him on July 26, 1958, they shared a love of a lifetime! At the time of her death, she went to church at Messiahs House, in Amarillo. She was also a member of the Gideon’s Women’s Auxiliary. She and Don handed out pocket sized new testaments to everyone one they could and served in Prison Ministry and other outreach programs.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Don; son-in-law, Clyde West; brother-in-law, Richard “Dick” McClure.

Survivors include daughters, Sharon Smith and husband Bobby II, Mary West; sister, Linda McClure; grandchildren, Heather Wood, Bo Smith, Ben West, Sarah Shiloh West; great-grandchildren, Lexie Wood, Logan Wood, Jaden Mitchell, Bodi Smith, Barrett Smith, and one yet to be named; nephew, Paul McClure; and niece, Melissa McClure.
