Michael Eric Howell

Michael Eric Howell, 81, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 am on July 13, 2024, at New Life Church. Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Michael was born July 26, 1942, in Los Angeles, California. He married Mary Ivey Ward on April 16, 2011, in Borger. Michael proudly served in the United States Air Force, making it a career until his retirement. He was an ordained minister and was called to the prison ministry. A true servant of the Lord, he loved to visit with people about Jesus. Michael enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and was a true Mr. Fix-It. Together he and Mary shared homes in Florence, Arizona and Borger, Texas. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; and son, Chad.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; daughter, Debi Martinez and husband Memo; step-daughters, Jennie Gutierrez and husband Ruben, Kathrine Whitfield and husband Paul, Karen Stoffle and husband Ben; grandchildren, Randi, Angelica; and several great grandchildren.
