Melissa Aline Blanton

Melissa Aline Blanton, 92 passed from this life Friday, May 9, 2025 in Amarillo. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Blanton was born June 5, 1932 in West Monroe, LA to James Leonard Cannon and Lillian Boudreaux Cannon. She loved riding her horse Soxy and square dancing with her dancing husband Johnny. She worked for twelve years at the Phillips Refinery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Johnny, her sons Johnny Audrain Blanton and Perry Mathis Blanton, her daughter Tissy Kossey, her granddaughter Donna Gayle Wilson, her grandsons Danny Lee Wilson and Jason McAnally, her three sisters and four brothers.

Melissa is survived by her daughter Katherine Aline Wilson and her husband Harold of Amarillo, grandchildren Tony Wilson, Michael Wilson, Clint McAnally, Kara Hayes, Kellie Williams, Whitney Shelton and Sean Wilson, great-grandchildren Caroline Luscombe, Elise Wilson, Adalyn Wilson and Clark Shelton and one great-great grandchild.
