Marc Garcia

Marc Garcia, 41, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Monday, June 3, 2024, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.  Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.  The Rosary will be recited beginning at 6:30 pm on Sunday, June 2, 2024, in the Minton Memorial Chapel.   

Marc was born April 1, 1983, in Plainview, Texas to Christopher Garcia and Mary Martinez Garcia.  He graduated from Borger High School in 2001.  Marc was an avid sports fan especially the San Antonio Spurs.  He was a true Dallas Cowboys fan; he has never given up on them.  Marc enjoyed gambling, playing cards, mainly Texas hold ’em and tournaments.  He loved spending time with his family and barbequing for them.  

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Guadalupe “Pete” Garcia and Mary Ann Garcia, T.D. and Catalina Marinez; uncles, Timothy Garcia, Carlos Martinez, Mario Martinez, Roy Martinez; and cousins, Stephanie Garcia, Matthew Steven Garcia, II, and Carina Mendez. 

Survivors include his parents, Chris and Mary Garcia of Borger; brother, Chris Garcia and wife Mackenzie; sister, Lisa Marie Garcia; the love of his life, Fabi, and her children, Angel and wife Ashley, Rafael and Divine Padilla; grandson, Atreus; niece, Savvy;  aunts and uncles, Guy Anthony Garcia of Borger, Steve and Kim Garcia of Borger, Jamie Garcia of Borger, Scottie Garcia of Borger, Alicia Martinez, Wynon Martinez, Pam Martinez; cousins, Katie Ledford and husband Brent (their children, Ashton, Deegan, Sammie and Wyatt), Cyndel Barragan, Neeka Munoz and husband Eric, Breanna Garcia, Aidan Garcia, Jacob Garcia, Hannah Garcia, Sergio Martinez, Chelsea Barragan, Landry Martinez, Austin Martinez, Caitlin Morphew, Rene Schmidt, Bea Garcia and Melissa Lujan; and a host of extended family and friends.
