Lorrie Lynn Walser

Lorrie Lynn Walser, 61, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026.

A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m. on September 26th in the Minton Memorial Chapel (314 S Hedgecoke St, Borger, TX 79007). Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park (8745 TX-136, Fritch, TX 79036) under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Lorrie was born February 4, 1965, in Auburn, California, to Gary Souza and Darleen Brown Souza. She married Tommy Walser on February 5, 1989, in Reno, Nevada.

Lorrie had a warmth about her that made those around her feel welcomed and at home, whether they had known her for years or just a few moments. Her kindness touched the lives of so many people, and the love she gave so freely left an impression on everyone blessed enough to cross her path.

An avid animal lover and rescuer, Lorrie never met an animal she did not love, and she had a special gift for caring for those who needed a little extra love and protection, especially all the stray cats in her neighborhood. Whether it was bird watching, being in her garden, or going on a walk, she found happiness in being outdoors.

More than anything, Lorrie’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and nurturer, always putting the needs of those she loved above her own. She gave her family her time, care, and the kind of unconditional love that made one feel safe, supported, and cherished.

Lorrie’s life was defined by the love she gave to her family, to her friends, to animals, and to everyone she encountered. Her warmth, generosity, and ability to make people feel welcome will be remembered by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue in the lives of everyone she touched.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Darleen Osbourne.

Survivors include her husband, Tommy; sons, Nico Walser and wife Amy, Jakob Walser, Christopher Walser, and Christopher James; daughters, Heather Walser and partner Cameron Jarvis, Christi Walser; father, Gary Souza; three grandchildren, Skylar, Kyler, Alex; one great-grandson on the way; sister, Tristy Hart; nieces, Harley and Chelsey; and a host of extended family.
