Linda June Barnett

Linda June Barnett, 79, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, in the Minton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Charlie Stevens, officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, her memory may be honored with a gift to a charity of choice.

Linda was born September 6, 1945, in Amherst, Texas to Albert G. Scheller and Viola Beavers Scheller. She married Bill N. Barnett on July 27, 1962, in Panhandle. Linda enjoyed her job at JC Penney so much that it was hard to call it work. She enjoyed doing crafts, camping and traveling. Nothing brought more to her life than being called Mawmaw, she loved her family fiercely especially her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, A.G. and Viola Scheller; granddaughter, Cassandra Newton; great grandson, Jeric Allen; brothers, Barney Scheller, O.D. Scheller, and Bobby Scheller; and sisters, Mary Bogart, Grace Anderson, Katy Anderson, Lorene Stuka, Martha Ozment, and Patricia Brydle.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Barnett; children, Annette Clifton and husband Rick, Donna Young and husband Casey, Roger Barnett and wife Teresa; grandchildren, Candra Acre and husband Jeremy, Eric Clifton and wife Madison, Jacob Clifton, Colin Morrison, C.J. Young and wife Joyce, Cody Young and wife Colbee, Malanie Mayberry, Jase Mayberry and wife Allie; great granddog, Penny; great grandchildren, Callum Acre, Tatum Clifton, Rylan Morrison, Leyleigh Morrison, Jacelyn Bryan, Carter Young, Cade Young, Bently Stroud, Ryder Young, Kyx Young, Braxton Young, Jaira Allen, Jakobi White, Sutton Martinez, Sabre Mayberry; brothers, Jack Scheller and wife Arlene, Waylon Scheller and wife Barbara; brother-in-law, Smokey Barnett and wife Margaret; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of extended family.
