Lee Roy Snider, 94, passed from this life on July 6, 2026. He was born on November 3, 1931, in Addington, Oklahoma to Leon and Ora Lue Bryant Snider.
Lee married Katy Lewis on February 26, 1955 in Graham, Oklahoma and he spent the next 71 years loving and caring for her. They were known affectionately by Mamaw and Papaw. He was an Airman 1st Class in the Navy for four years, serving dutifully on the USS Kearsarge in Korea and he spent many years working for Phillips 66. He was a member of the Church of Christ, Lions Club, Little League Association and Boy Scouts. He loved fishing, spending time with family, watching sports, camping, was an avid sports fan following the latest games of the Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma Sooners, and the Phillips Lions Club Free Fair.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Budge Snider; sister, Mary Lou; son in law, James Qualls; and daughter in law, Tammy Hoff Snider.
Lee is survived by his loving wife Katy Lewis Snider of Borger; sons, Allen Snider and wife Sandy of Stinnett and Gary Lee Snider and wife Charlotte of Fritch; and daughter, Kellie Qualls of Fritch; grandchildren, Krista Granger, Jerry Lee Husband, Brittany Snider, Brandon Snider, Jayden Kirksey, Jolee Jasper, Kenny Qualls, Bobby Peek, Kimmy Gaines, Shere Qualls, Lori Qualls, and Jeannie Berger; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and extended family.
Funeral service will be held at the Celebration Family Church on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Highland Park Cemetery. The family will receive guests on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiant will be Dwight Kirksey. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
