Bruce Whiteley, 67, passed away peacefully with his family around him January 28, 2022 in Amarillo. The family has planned a come and go Celebration of Life at the Borger Elks Club Saturday, February 19, 2022 starting at 3:00 p.m. Please come and share stories and remembrances of Bruce, he wanted that kind of party.  Cremation was under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Bruce was born March 15, 1954 in Borger to T. J. "Doc" Whiteley and Janie Gordon Whiteley. He married Liesa Keeney November 5, 1982 in Borger, telling Leisa since it was her birthday also, he was the best birthday gift she would ever get. He retired as a Welder at the Pantex Plant and formerly worked at R and R Sheet Metal. Bruce loved being with his family, watching the Kansas City Chiefs and Texas Tech Red Raider football, going to Walmart and United Grocery and fishing. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bruce is survived by his wife of almost forty years Liesa, his two daughters Amy Barnett and her husband Shawn of Justin, TX and Kristen Doughten and her husband Craig of Borger, his three grandchildren Logan, Zane and Evan, his brother Dave Whiteley and his wife Gail of Borger, his two nephews Justin and T. J. Whiteley and his niece Makayla Fentress.
