Kenniston “Kenny” Charles Brown, 48, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2026.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am at Cross Community Church, 700 Franklin, Borger, on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Kenny will lie in state beginning on Monday, July 20, 2026, 10 am – 8 pm and Tuesday, July 21, 2026, 8 am - 8 pm. In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift to Borger Salvation Army, P.O. Box 1046, Borger, Texas 79007 or to Unity Masonic Lodge, P.O. Box 243, Borger, Texas 79007.
Kenny was born August 13, 1977, in Borger to Sterling Charles Brown and Susan Cruse Brown. He married Tassie Miller on November 13, 2004, in Amarillo. Kenny was a 1996 graduate of Panhandle High School. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed doing anything outside including fishing, hunting, camping and working on Bar P Ranch for the PNP Land and Cattle Company. Kenny was a grill master and even competed in some cook-offs. He was a volunteer fire fighter with Skellytown Fire Department and was the Worshipful Master at Unity Mason Lodge #1242. Kenny was a member of Cross Community Church where he played bass guitar on the worship team.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lee and Amelia Bellar and Charles and Mary Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Tassie Brown; children, Adrian James “AJ” Brown, Kensie Mae Brown, Mason Ray Brown; father, Sterling Brown; mother, Susan Annett and husband Danny; beloved canine companions, Bella and Dutch; numerous aunts and uncles; and a host of extended family.
