Julia Ledell Fortune, 89 of Borger passed away October 19, 2026, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 23, 2026, at Highland Park Cemetery.

Julia was born on December 22, 1936, in Colorado City, TX to Hubert and Mary Magdelene (Hulce) Palmer. She married Herchel Fortune May 5, 1956, in Borger. She worked for Phillips Petroleum as an Administrative Assistant37 years. She was a member of the Jane Phillips Society.

Julia was an avid reader and loved watching the Halmark Channel, painting, and baking. She loved just spending time with her family.

Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, grandson Benjamin Davis, sisters Mona Dees, Mary Shelton, and a brother Troy Palmer.

Surviving is her daughter Donna Slybaugh and husband Jerry of Galveston, TX. Granddaughter Amy Horne of Borger. Great grandchildren Cory, Leann, Michael and Paige. Great, great grandchildren Ophelia and Phineas. Brother Coyt Palmer of Kileen, TX.
