Juanita Faulkner, 94, passed from this life Monday, October 30, 2023 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be held in Borger at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2023 at Highland Park Cemetery in Borger. Her Celebration of Life will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Schooler Funeral Home Chapel in Amarillo. She will lie in state at Schooler's on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Family visitation will be 5:30 until 6:30 Thursday evening at Schooler Funeral Home.
She was born November 3, 1928 in Harmony, Arkansas to Walter Clifford Watson and Clara Mae West Watson. She lived in Borger for most of her life moving to Amarillo in 1997. She was a member of the Church of Christ and married Johnny Faulkner March 19, 1948 in Borger. Juanita loved her family, Reading, Traveling and Shopping. She was the Woman of the Year in the Borger Women's Division of the Chamber of Commerce, she was also Woman of the Month several times. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Adelante Club and the Merry Widows of the Southwest Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Johnny in 1998, her grandson Zak Faulkner in 2020 and her son-in-law Austin Casey.
Juanita is survived by her two sons Mike Faulkner and his wife Darla of Amarillo and Tom Faulkner and his wife Leisha of Longview, her two daughters Cheri Casey of Lubbock and Ann Rios and her husband A. J. of Amarillo, her grandchildren Kevin Casey, Robin Casey, Jenni Mayes, Jake Minton, Jr., Eric Faulkner, Todd Faulkner, Barrett Faulkner and Rylee Faulkner, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Casket Bearers will be Barrett Faulkner, Robin Casey, Jordan Minton, Todd Faulkner, Eric Faulkner, Jake Minton, Jr. and Nick Mayes.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to High Plains Children's Home, 11461 S. Western St., Amarillo, TX 79118, website is hpch.org.
