Juanita Estep

Juanita M. Estep, 82, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, in the First Baptist Church of Panhandle.  Burial will follow in West Park Cemetery in Hereford, Texas under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.

Juanita was born December 21, 1939, in Hereford, Texas to Lester Wilson Sims and Lola Mae Cox Sims.  She married Johnnie William Estep on June 18, 1970, in Clovis, New Mexico.  Juanita was a member of First Baptist Church of Panhandle and worked for the City of Panhandle for 14 years.  She enjoyed fishing and camping.  However, nothing brought more joy to her life than her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Lola Sims; husband, Johnnie William Estep; daughter, Ruth Sims; son, J.W. Estep, Jr.; sister, Florene Gandy; and brother, Richard Sims.

Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Nazworth of Borger, Effie Leinen of Borger, Sharmin Branin of Panhandle; son, Ben Estep, Sr. of Panhandle; bonus son, Mark Daniels; brothers, David Sims of Sunray, LL Sims of Glenwood, Arkansas; grandchildren, Cameron, Ben Jr., Isaac, Cydnee, Johnnie, Crystal, Isabella, DJ, Serrena; many bonus grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Ellie, Paisley, Kaitlyn, Landon, Darion, Zachary; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
