Juanita Dawson, 96, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Lawnview Cemetery in Cordell, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Juanita was born on December 1, 1929, in Gotebo, Oklahoma, to W.R. Daniels and Clara Carroll Daniels. She married H.O. "Red" Dawson in Wheeler, Texas, on March 31, 1947. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and hard work.
A longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church, Juanita faithfully lived out her beliefs through quiet acts of generosity and service. She enjoyed crocheting and spent many years creating handmade treasures that she sold at local craft shows. Throughout her life, she worked various jobs while always making her family her greatest priority.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, W.R. and Clara Daniels; her beloved husband, H.O. "Red" Dawson; her daughter, Linda Londigan; her sister, Sue Bacon; and her brother, Junior Daniels.
She is survived by her son, Dale Dawson of Dumas; her grandchildren, Darla Parker and Anita Ann Dawson; her great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Butler, Dawson Bevins, and Joshua Parker; her great-great-grandchildren, Preston Bevins, Collin Bevins, and Blake Butler; her sister, Sandra Etris of New Cordell, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will cherish her memory.
