Joe Tollis

Joseph “Joe” Lee Tollis, 70, of Fritch, passed away at home surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Celebration Family Church. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Joe was born on October 15, 1955, in Florence, Colorado to Hecter and Rose (Martella) Tollis. He married Celia Crow on January 5, 1974, in Canon City, Colorado. He worked as a stillman for Phillips Petroleum.

Joe was a husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. More than that he loved deeply and was a great friend to many. Anytime someone needed help he was always there. Joe was the most talented man from building cars, motorcycles, furniture, or remolding houses. He did it all with a level of perfection that is rarely seen. He could make everybody laugh and he had a huge heart and will be dearly missed.

Preceding him in death are his parents; brothers, John and Nick; and sister, Rosalie Delmonte.

Survivors include his wife, Celia; sons, Brian Tollis and wife Ines of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Dustin Tollis and wife Renea of Amarillo; daughter, Audrey Tollis of Fort Worth; sister, Kathryn Cornell of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren, Shane Tollis, Violet Perez, Daisy Perez, Trinity Tollis; and great grandchildren, Lyla Tollis, Luke Tollis, Rosalie Villezcas and one on the way.
