John "Herbie" Herbert Hatfield, Jr.

John “Herbie” Herbert Hatfield, Jr., 73, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025.

Graveside services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Stinnett Cemetery. Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Herbie was born May 28, 1952, in Borger, Texas to John Herbert Hatfield, Sr. and Pauline Elizabeth Sutton Hatfield. He proudly served in the United States Army. Herbie was an active member of Faith Tabernacle Church in Pampa. He enjoyed building and flying radio-controlled planes and star gazing. Herbie had an infectious sense of humor and huge heart.

He is preceded in death by parents, John “Herb” Herbert Hatfield, Sr. and Pauline Elizabeth Sutton Hatfield; daughter, Tambra Hatfield; sister, Janice Stevens; and brother, Terry “Big Red” Hatfield.

Survivors include his son, Matthew Hatfield and wife Brandie of Fritch; grandchildren, Matt Hatfield and wife Ale, Mason Hatfield; great grandson, Ryder; brother, Patrick Hatfield and wife Brenda of Stinnett; sisters, Johnie Helen Johnston of Whitehouse, Diana Miller of Fritch; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
