John Robert Cummings

John Robert “Bob” Cummings, 69, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2024.

A celebration of his life will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Unity Baptist Church. 

Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

John Robert Cummings was born June 25, 1954, in Borger to David and Tommie (Cooke) Cummings, however all his friends new him as Bob.  He was a graduate of Borger High School.  Bob worked for SPS for many years.  He enjoyed going for walks, reading, listening to ZZ Top and was a gifted rose gardener.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, David and Tommie Cummings; and son, Jacob Cummings.

Survivors include his brother, Joe Cummings and wife Julie of Borger; and nieces, Jenny Phillips of Panhandle and Melissa Williams of West Elizabeth, Pennsylvania.
