Jeanna Harris

Jeanna May Harris, 74, died Monday, August 3, 2009 in Amarillo.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Grace Fellowship Church with Jake Minton, officiating. Interment will follow at a later date at Westlawn Memorial Park.

Mrs. Harris was born on March 5, 1935 in Clay City, Illinois and had been a Borger resident since 1953. Known as The Bread Lady, she enjoyed making homemade breads and candy for everyone. Jeanna worked for Buttercup House for 15 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Senior Citizen Sunshine Club of Fritch. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl and Lee Monical, husband, Thomas T. Harris on March 24, 1990, mother-in-law Pauline Harris on March 24, 1996 and favorite son-in-law Jerry Cotner.

She is survived by two sons - Mike Harris and wife Karen of Bartlesville, Ok, Mark Harris of Borger, two daughters - Malinda Cotner of Stinnett, Monica Harris of Bartlesville, Ok, brother - Robert Monical and wife Noma of Clay City, IL, sister - Bonnie Lee Blair of Clay City, IL, five grandchildren - Mindy Duvall, Tommy Dawson, Jason harris, Mikala Harris and Toby Cother and four great-grandchildren.

The family will be staying at 233 Tumbleweed in Borger.
