Janis True

Janis Elaine True, 74, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Monday, January 23, 2023, in the Minton Memorial Chapel with Mr. Jake Minton officiating.  Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.  The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at the funeral home.

Janis was born September 16, 1948, to Ernest and Naomi Carter.  She was a lifelong resident of Borger and worked for Sammons Communications before owning multiple businesses including Market Square Furniture Store on Main Street.

Survivors include her husband, Bob True of Borger; three sons, Bill Hendricks of Bourbonnais, Illinois, Brice Hendricks of Orlando, Florida, Zack Hickerson of Athens, Tennessee; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Sharolett Hogan; one nephew; and two nieces.
