James Floyd Ollis Sr

James “Jim” Floyd Ollis, 89, of Borger passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2024, surrounded by his family in Amarillo. Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Minton Memorial Chapel.  Cremation will be under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Jim was born November 22, 1934, in Bunch, Oklahoma to Arthur and Gussie (Chuculate) Ollis. He worked for H B Zachry and Fish construction as a civil craft foreman. He came to Borger in 1970 from Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 1986 he married Bobbie Elrod in Clayton, New Mexico. He loved working on cars to sell and going to flea markets. He served in the Korean Conflict in the US Army Airborne.

Preceding him in death are his parents; wife; sons, James Ollis, Jr., Danny Ollis, Kyle Ollis; brothers, Henry Nave and Everett Nave; sister, Julie Archer.

Surviving are his adopted children, Bobby Bristow and wife Kay Sengthavorn of Amarillo and Lacy Bristow of Amarillo; son, Keith Ollis of Oklahoma; daughter, Sandra Lynn Ferguson of Amarillo; grandchildren, Jordan Sengthavorn and Caden Bristow; numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
