Jahue "Neil" Bearden

Jahue “Neil” Bearden, 81, passed away July 14, 2026.

He was born on December 3, 1944, in Enos, Oklahoma to Rubert Bearden, Sr. and Mildred Everett Bearden. Neil was a talented athlete of both track and football. He was a member of the 1962 state bound football team. Neil was a 1964 graduate of Borger High School where his charm and athleticism made him a true casanova with the ladies, he was even a candidate for Mr. Borger High.  He had an amazing sense of humor and it lit up every room he was in. Neil had a love of horses, music  and enjoyed reading.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his sister-in-law, Melba Bearden.

He is survived by son, Joel Bearden of New Braunfels, Texas; brothers, RT Bearden, Jr. of Borger, Texas, Barrett Bearden of Stinnett, Texas, Samuel Bearden of Borger, Texas; and one granddaughter Gabrielle Geigling.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 2 pm at Westlawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger
