Jace Alan Jones, 19, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Faith Covenant Church. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive guests from 5-7 pm on Friday, October 30, 2026, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, his memory may be honored with a gift to the Panhandle Angel Foundation, PO Box 20104, Amarillo, Texas, 79114.
Jace was born September 3, 2007, in Amarillo, Texas. He was a 2026 graduate of West Texas High School. Jace lived his life with grit and determination. He was an avid knife enthusiast with a collection that would make grown men jealous, and in keeping with his old soul he had a great respect and love for corvettes. Jace enjoyed playing baseball, riding motorcycles and dirt bikes, going to the range and shooting skeet, fishing, hunting and playing XBOX. Like most teenage boys, his truck held a special place in his heart. He enjoyed racing RC Cars and building things with his Pop, surfing, wakeboarding and going to the lake. Now, in true Jace fashion he liked to keep the adrenaline pumping, he would ride wheelies not only on his mountain bike but also on his dirt bike all through the neighborhood. The Whitfield house was the place to be, and he was there hanging out every chance he got with his buddies Taylon, Kyler and Cole, the cookouts there held a special place in his heart. The one thing that the Jace would want you to know is that he stood strong in his faith, he even tattooed it “hard fought hallelujah.”
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Judy Jones, Pat Jones, Randy Green; and uncle, Steve Jones.
Survivors include mother, Samantha Green and husband Ray of Borger; father, Alan Jones and wife Melissa of Borger; grandparents, Kristi Prater, Elwood Lee, Carolyn Green, Carla and Charles Prater, Rick and Becky Sharp; brothers, Brandon Green and wife Jacie, Ashton Green, Daren Green and wife Jennifer, Greyson Acker; sisters, Kate Green, Lauren Jones, Emerson Acker; aunts, Mindy Whitefield and husband Cory, Elaine Rigsby and husband Kevin; uncle, Rocky Green and wife Ashley; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
