Homer Don Chisholm

Homer Don Chisholm, “Don” to most who knew him, 82, passed away Friday, August 28, 2026.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, September 1, 2026, in the Minton Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. In lieu of flowers, his memory may be honored with a gift to the Borger Elks Lodge, PO Box 1577, Borger, Texas 79008.

Don was born October 3, 1943, in Inglewood, California to Willie Andrew Chisholm and Alice “Billie” Green Chisholm. He married Linda Gail Gifford on July 26, 1968, in Borger. Don had a full life of being Past Exalted Ruler of the Borger Elks Lodge. He was involved in several community organizations. Don graduated from Borger High School in 1962 and then attended Frank Phillips College. He was always interested in cars as his dad had the Nash Rambler dealership in Borger. Don had a knack for selling cars and had a successful career doing so, owning and operating Chisholm Auto Sales. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and was an amazing grill master.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Billie Chisholm; sister, Andrea Kay Brazeal; and in-laws, Preston and Betty Gifford.

Survivors include his wife, Linda of Borger; son, Duffy Ray Chisholm of Lake Jackson; daughter, Leslie Lynn Chisholm of Borger; grandchildren, Kirklan and wife Macee, Bristol Dickerson; great granddaughter, Blake; and nieces, Angela Holjes, Melissa Fite, and Marcy McDonald.
