Hilda Fisher

Hilda Fisher, 63, of Borger, Texas, passed away on September 2, 2021.

The daughter of Louis and Pearl Rushing, Hilda was born in Carmi, Illinois, on November 20, 1957.

Their family lived in Illinois, Kansas, Pampa and Stinnett before settling in Borger in 1969. Hilda married William Darrell Fisher on September 3, 1976. The vows made that day held strong until death did they part just twelve hours before their 45th wedding anniversary.

Hilda loved her family fiercely and she and Darrell made sure they enjoyed miles of memories made on long family road trips, big birthdays and even bigger holidays. It was only because of her strength that they had her for as long as they did.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, 11 months, 29 days and 22 hours, William Darrell Fisher; children, April Brownlee and husband Bill of Amarillo, Darrell Fisher and wife Martine of Fritch, David Fisher of Pampa, Rachel Fisher of Fritch and Sean Fisher of Borger; grandchildren, Reagan, Catherine and Ryan Brownlee and Conner Fisher; treasured sister, Brenda Harre with whom she enjoyed daily phone calls; and brother-in-law, Jim of Borger; her mother-in-law, Arlene Fisher of Borger; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Shelby Hankins; sisters, Shirley Naney and Dorla Adcock; and her beloved pets, Mocha and Mayo.
