Helen Frances Watson, 95, passed from this life Wednesday, May 7, 2025, in Amarillo. Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025, in the Minton Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

She was born April 6, 1930, in Portales, New Mexico to Henry Edward Taylor and Eshtaol Grace Durham Taylor. Helen was a retired Educational Assistant at Pampa ISD and has lived in the Panhandle area since 1957 and in Amarillo since 2013. She married Sam Watson April 16, 1949, in Portales, NM. She was a member of the Methodist Church and was active with the Methodist Women. She loved her family, playing bridge, traveling and boating.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Sam, five sisters Mary Jane Stroup, Patsy Green, Juanita Zukauckas, Peggy Henry and Henrietta Taylor.

Helen is survived by her son Randy Watson and his wife Carolyn of Borger, her daughter Lee Guest and her husband Raymond of Amarillo, her grandchildren Kristi Cantu, Shane Watson, Misti McClendon, Corey Guest and Toby Guest and her ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons.
