Glen Ray Phelps, 81, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

Glen was born November 23, 1944, in Phillips to Cecil William “Rusty” Phelps and Imogene Parker. He graduated from Phillips High School in 1964. Glen was a gifted pianist and began playing the piano at the age of 9. For over 40 years he served in ten different churches as an organist or pianist. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Over the years, Glen served on various committees including the nominating committee, music committee, outreach community as well as various office positions.
He is preceded in death by his parents, C.W. “Rusty” Phelps and Imogene Phelps; brother, Burl Phelps; and sisters, Colleen Berry and Retta Stewart.
Survivors include his sister, Betty Trout of Borger; sons, Michael Phelps and wife Letty of Borger, Mark Phelps of Borger; grandson, Ryan Phelps; special nephew, Jim Bob Trout and wife Pam of Borger; special niece, Jody McKinney and husband Tod of Borger; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
A special thanks to Betty Trout, Jim Bob Trout and Jody McKinney for all of the love and care they showed Glen over the years.
