Gerald Patrick Cantrell, 67, passed from this life Monday, January 2, 2023.  A celebration of his life will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2023 at Grace Church.  Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

He was born February 26, 1955 in Borger to Marcus Herbert Cantrell, Jr. and Christina Grogan Cantrell. He held a Bachelors Degree in Marketing from West Texas State University. He retired from Phillips Petroleum Co. where he was a Stillman at the NGL Plant. Gerald married Tish Pullen on December 18, 2014. Together they shared a passion for travel. One of his proudest accomplishments was writing the first Process Safety Manual for Phillips Petroleum in Borger and making the plant a safer workplace for his friends and colleagues.

He was the founding member and president of the Borger chapter of the Sons of Thunder Motorcycle Ministry. He loved building and refurbishing motorcycles. He was passionate about music with an eclectic taste that involved all genres of music from Bach to Lincoln Park to Christian Worship Music. He loved his dogs, Max and Roxy.

He was proud of his Irish heritage, he loved the outdoors and exotic game hunting, he enjoyed sitting in the back yard and smoking cigars, and was passionate about mentoring his children and grandchildren. He was a man of eloquent words and wrote beautiful poetry. He boldly spread the Word of God wherever he went.  He adored his family, especially his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Gerald is survived by his wife Tish, his three daughters Jessica Swenn and her husband Shane, Leslie Flores and her husband Argel of Pflugerville, TX and Angela Beale and her husband Jacob of Santo, TX, his two sons Charles Pullen and his wife Lorraine of Denver, CO and Matthew Pullen and his wife Madeleine of Los Angeles, CA, his grand children Jackson, Claire, Houston, Emily, Eli and Lucas, his three brothers Kevin Cantrell and his wife Carol of Amarillo, David Cantrell and his wife Paula of Farmington, NM and John Cantrell and his wife Shelly of Canyon, his nine sisters Kathleen Berry and her husband Bob of Cashion, OK, Mary Lewellyn and her husband Rocky of Bartlesville, OK, Helena Ambrose and her husband James of Granbury, TX, Suzie Casida and her husband Tom of Borger, Patricia Bonner and her husband Alan of Fritch, Teresa Lusk and her husband Jim of Brookeland, TX, Jeanie Perigo and her husband Chris of Canyon, Angela Goodwin and her husband Rod of Fritch and Julie Wood and her husband Danny of Granbury, TX.
