Gene Craig Sims

Gene Craig Sims, 79, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025.

Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Gene was born on April 2, 1946, in Pampa, Texas to Eugene Sims and Lou Alta Harlan Sims. He married Belinda Gale Davis on September 19, 1977, in Fritch. Gene was drafted into the US Army after high school and served in Germany for four years. He retired from Ace Hardware, he always enjoyed visiting with the customers there. An avid bowler, he held a 200+ average. Gene really liked watching the Houston Astros and the Dallas Mavericks. Nothing brought more joy to his life than spending time with his grandson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Lou Alta; wife, Belinda; son, Cody Sims; and brother, Randall “Randye” Sims.

Survivors include his son, Gabriel Sims; grandson, Teddy Sims; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
