Emilio Lovato, Sr.

Emilio Delfido Lovato, Sr., 81 of Fritch passed away at his home in Fritch on Saturday, February 26, 2022.

Rosary will be read at 6:30 pm, Monday, February 28, 2022, at Minton Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at the Gonzales Ranch in San Miguel County, NM.

Emilio was born January 21, 1941 on the Gonzales Ranch to Atilana and Juanita (Lopez) Lovato. He met the love of his life Marie Sanchez in Clovis, NM where they were married January 6, 1962. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He was known and loved by so many. He worked at the Fritch Elementary as a custodian and loved his work. Ask anyone in Fritch and they will tell you he threw them in the trash can or tied them up somewhere on the school grounds. All the school kids meant so much to him and he also loved teasing them. He and Marie enjoyed traveling and finding that special casino and enjoyed the bingo world.

Preceding him in death are his parents, three sisters Rita, Bennie and Margaret. One brother Andres.

Surviving are his loving wife Marie of Fritch; sons, Emilio “Danny” Lovato, Jr. and Wife Shannon of Fritch, Carlos Lovato and wife Debbie of Fritch; daughters, Mary Ann Jones and husband Adrian of Foss, OK, Frances Baker and husband Danny of Temple, TX; brothers, Fernandez Lovato and wife Marie of Portales, NM, Emiliano Lovato and wife Viola of Portales, NM, Bruno Lovato and wife Becky of Borger, Andy Lovato and wife Lupe of Fritch, Fidel Lovato of Fritch, Junior Lovato and wife Nellie of Borger; sisters, Faby Olgiun of Portales, NM, Nash Serrano and husband Hector of Odessa, Tina Pena and husband Tommy of Fritch, Jane Cordova and husband David of Cuba, NM, Demi Lovato of Las Vegas, NM; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
