Eloise Jo Whitehead

Eloise Jo Whitehead, 70, of Panhandle went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 14, 2024, in Amarillo. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Panhandle. The burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle. There will be a visitation of family and friends on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at the funeral home.

Jo was born in Shamrock, Texas to William Oscar and Helen Irene (Miller) Sloss. She married Randy Dewayne Whitehead on June 8, 1973, in Shamrock, Texas. She loved decorative painting, arts, crafts, and spending time with family. She loved being very active in her church and letting small children ride in her wheelchair.

Preceding her in death are her parents and husband.

Surviving are her sons, Justin and wife Bonnie Whitehead of Panhandle, Shawn Whitehead of Amarillo; brother Sterling Sloss of Shamrock; sisters, Jan King and husband Rick of New Braunfels, Texas, Lora Wyatt and husband Charles of Elk City, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Hailee and Natalee Whitehead; great granddaughter, Sophia.

Honorary casket bearers will be Jamie Sloss, Jay Wyatt, Frank Whitehead, Lucas LeGate, Logan LeGate, and Eden Casey.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church P. O. Box 189 Panhandle, TX 79068.
