Duane Montgomery

Duane Montgomery, 73, of Amarillo passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at home surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Minton Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Duane was born on December 6,1952, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Thomas and Jaunita Montgomery. He graduated from Phillips High School and got his Associate ‘s degree from Okmulgee Tech. On May 12, 2006, he married Glenda Huff in Las Vegas, Nevada. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, traveling and especially cooking.

Preceding him in death are his parents; sons, Greg and Gaylon Morgan; and brothers, Roy and Teddy.

Surviving is his wife Glenda of 26 years; sons, Matt King of Waco, Texas, Gary Don Morgan of Texas; daughter, Courtney Kirksey and husband Dwight of Fritch; brother, Robert Montgomery and wife Carolyn of Van Alstyne, Texas; sister, Jerry Johnson and husband Gary of Denton, Texas; grandchildren; Zeke Morgan, Trip Morgan, Grace Morgan, and several other grandchildren.
