Dorothy Pearl Keech Sparks, 86, died Tuesday, July 4th, 2006 in Panhandle, Texas.BRBRServices will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 6th, at the First Christian Church in Panhandle with Rev. Shayne Raulston, Pastor officiating. Interment will be in Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle, Texas.BRBRMrs. Sparks was born on February 14, 1920 in Emporia, Kansas. She married Marvin Sparks on August 7, 1959 in Amarillo, Texas. She was a member of the First Christian Church and was the organist for 40 years. She was also a past board member of the Church. She was past president of the Dianthus Club, member of the Red Hat Club and was a Girl Scout leader for many years. She loved gardening and was a great cook and most loving grandmother.BRBRHer survivors include her husband, Marvin Sparks of the home, daughter - Sheri Urbanczyk and her husband, Mark of Panhandle, brother - Elmer Keech and his wife, Alice of Wichita, Kansas, sister - Lola Jane Colllinge and her husband, Irwin of Emporia, Kansas, three granddaughters - Rachel, Sarah and Rebecca Urbanczyk all of Panhandle.BRBRHer casket bearers will be Mike Collinge, Lanny Garner, Windy Williams, Jon Sparks, and Pat Fitzgerald.BRBRMemorials may be made to the First Christian Church, Box 325, Panhandle 79068 or to the Girl Scouts of America.
