Dorothy Knoll

Dorothy Ellen Knoll, 89, went to her heavenly home on Monday, October 3, 2022.

Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 6, 2022 at New Life Church in Borger, Texas.  Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2022 in Valleyview Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, at funeral home.  Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Dorothy was born April 5, 1933, in Nash, Oklahoma to Floyd Skaggs and Rose Brashears Skaggs.   She was married Albert Knoll on May 29, 1950 and together they owned and operated Knolls Dairy Queen until their retirement in 1998.  Dorothy was a member of Riverview Baptist Church.  She enjoyed sewing, shopping, and doing crafty things.   Nothing brought more joy to her life than her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Rose Skaggs; husband, Albert Knoll; son, Michael Knoll; daughter, Tammy Knoll; grandchildren, Shane Jones, Jeremy Knoll; great granddaughter, Meadow Deutsch; brother, Jim Skaggs; and sister, Vivian Krug.

Survivors include her daughters, Janice Knoll Jones of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Karen Knoll of Borger; daughter-in-law, Joan Knoll of Fritch; grandchildren, Melissa Moon and husband Jerry, Tisha Deutsch and husband Bob, Kessa Knoll, Keyvin Knoll and wife Raven; 15 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
